Hi, I’m Sharlize.

I designed an automated torque-cycle test system at Click Bond, led a first-place Mars rover project, and served as a Safety and Test Engineer on the NASA Micro-g NExT Design Team.

About me

Mechanical Engineer in Progress

I am a mechanical engineering student at Cal Poly with hands-on experience in design, testing, and manufacturing. I enjoy taking an idea from CAD and analysis through fabrication and validation to create reliable, practical solutions.

My experience includes developing an automated torque-cycle test system at Click Bond, designing and building a first-place Mars rover, and contributing to NASA-focused engineering projects. I have used SolidWorks, PLCs, sensors, 3D printing, machining, and data analysis to solve real engineering problems and improve processes.

Some of the most meaningful parts of my path have been the people I have met along the way: friends who encouraged me to join engineering workshops, mentors who pushed me to trust my ideas, teammates who helped turn a 48-hour challenge into a first-place project, and students I later supported through IEEE. These experiences showed me that I do my best work when I am learning with others, sharing what I know, and helping create a space where people feel comfortable asking questions and trying new things.
